Enjoy a medley of love songs today — once per hour at :53 past the hour. Each hour a different love song will play. The music will begin at 7:53 AM and end at 9:53 PM.
Selections include Lara’s Theme, Love Story, My Funny Valentine, Romeo and Juliet, If I Loved You, Some Enchanted Evening, A Wedding Prayer and the Wedding Song.
The Dr. Frank J. Morgan Jr. clock tower, a 30-foot structure, was dedicated on Sept. 20, 2007 to honor one of Hudson Valley’s most distinguished and beloved professors and administrators.
Dr. Morgan, who died in 2000, was with Hudson Valley from 1961 to 1985, serving as dean for 16 years. Known for his thoughtful advice, Dr. Morgan helped countless students and was instrumental in developing transfer opportunities with many four-year colleges and universities.
The clock tower was funded by alumni and other donors, including the Keepers of the Flame, an association of college retirees.
